Broadcaster Getting Start Guide

What is Broadcaster?

Broadcaster helps you to send outgoing messages by manually inputting mobile numbers / uploading from an excel sheet/ selecting from existing subscribers list. 

You can send Text, Images, Video , Document & Audio via WhatApp. Only text is support for sending via SMS.

How it Works

When you create a campagin in broadcaster it will communicate with your mobile app and further it will start sending messages via WhatsApp / SMS.

Where to Use?

Broadcaster is a great tool to communicate with your subscribers / customers. It can be used to send promotional and general informational messages.


If you are sending WhatsApp messages to unknown contacts then there is high possibility of getting your number blocked by WhatsApp so we request you to please send WhatsApp message only to your customers which are known to you or your organisation.  Please read our best practice guide before sending out any marketing content through WhatsApp.

Getting Start

Now lets explore how to work with broadcaster, the Broadcaster has 2 menu Compose & Reports , Click on the Compose menu to start sending messages.

Selecting Project

By default the system will auto select the project which you are currently in , if you wish to change the project you can simply tick or untick the respective projects.



Dividing Message Load to Increase Sending Speed

You can divide and balance the load across multiple projects, simply select the projects and our system will automatically divide the load and send messages using the selected projects. This feature helps you to send messages faster , please note the billing will be done as per the plan of each project.

Campaign Name

Give a name to the campaign for internal reference


Select Application

Specify through which channel the message should go , please make sure that the selected channel is active in your mobile device. If you are selecting SMS then make sure your phone can send SMS out and have enough balance from your telecom provider.


Select Subscribers

Here you have 3 options to select Upload Subscribers , Dynamic Messaging, Segment Subscribers , based on your requirements select the appropriate one 


Upload Subscribers

You can manually copy and paste the mobile numbers or upload subscribers mobile number in an excel / csv sheet. Please note the country code should be added along with the mobile number, if there is no country code in your excel sheet you can simply add using our Prefix adding tool, you can also remove duplicate numbers by checking the options as shown below



Dynamic Messaging

Dynamic messaging helps you to personalise the message like Dear #name# your pending bill amount is #amt# and due date to #date#, You can put these values in an excel sheet and upload. Our system will replace the variables with the value in your excel sheet and send personalised message to each subscriber / user.

First Step for Dynamic Messaging is to upload the excel / csv sheet containing the mobile number and message data, once the file is uploaded the system will show preview of your excel / csv data as shown below, you need to tell the system in which column the mobile number is saved , you can map the mobile number field as shown below;



Second Step is to select the dynamic data while composing the message, navigate to “Messages” compose your message and from the right side you can insert the column name into message wherever it is relevant as shown below. Our system will extract the column data from the excel / csv sheet and update with data from the excel while sending messages , in this example Hello #A# Your Pending Bill Amount is #B# and last date to pay is #C#, here #A# , #B#, #C# will be replaced with the respective data in the each column against the correct mobile number. 



Segment Subscribers

This tool helps you to segment the existing subscribers and send messages. Target subscribers easily with segment filters like Subscribed Date, Last Interaction Time, Name, Number, Category, Tag and Attribute Value like Age, Gender, Email, Website etc

You can create and save a filter criteria to reuse the same , to reuse click on “Saved Lists” and use it.


Personalising outgoing message : You can personalise the outgoing messages with attribute values saved in your social CRM like Dear {{name}} your plan is going to expire on {{expiry-date}}. 


Saving Message Templates

You can save messages into template to reuse it quickly, just type your message in the message filed and Click on “Save Message” whenever you want to use the saved message click on “Template” and choose the message you want to use.

Scheduling Messages

Using the “Send Later” you can schedule a message to specific time, please note we use time zone from your profile to process the schedules messages.




You can see all the outgoing messages here in the report section, please note there is no delivery report available the same should be checked in your mobile device.

You can filter the reports between dates as shown below

You can see the message details by clicking the “Details” as shown below

You can see the mobile number by clicking the “Detailed Report” as shown below

You can export the complete sent message to CSV file using the “Export” option as shown below


If you are using API you can cross check this report section whether the messages are successfully reaching our server or not, if you are able to see message here then it means the messages are accepted by our system successfully.
